I had a chance to catch up with Meyghin to get some fun facts from her dream clients to if she misses quarantine or not. Dive in, I’m sure you’ll enjoy!

What do you do? : Copywriter and Message Strategist

Why copywriting: What makes copywriting so special to you?: As a blogger back in 2016, I realized the need for women to be empowered and inspired in order to show up and be themselves confidently and unapologetically.
As my professional profile began to grow and after graduating with a B.A. in journalism, I pivoted to serve female entrepreneurs by doing the same but in and for their business. Being able to clearly communicate your message to connect with YOUR people is so empowering because you get to show up as yourself and bring the transformation that people need. This is why copywriting is important because if you're not effectively communicating who you are and how you serve, you'll miss the mark and miss YOUR people. My role as a message strategist is to pull out all those important pieces that tells your beautiful, dope brand story because people need to hear it as it lays the groundwork and foundation for who you are as a brand.
What's that one weird thing we would've never guessed about you? : I love listening to classical music as I work! Beethoven, Chopin, Tiersen, Bach...you name it!
Who are some of your dream clients? : Any female service-based entrepreneur that is ready to tell how they transform lives and empower others!
What did you do to prepare for your branding photo session with me?: Honestly, I shook off any doubt and heavy expectations that I had to be or look a certain way and to just show up trusting and knowing Shekeidra was going to guide me! And of course she delivered honey!
Tell me about all the feels! Were you excited, nervous, run away bride vibes? How did you overcome those feels and rock it out? : I was SO excited. Shekeidra's personality and approach is so loving, liberating, fun and she really makes you feel so good to be the person in front of the lens. Working with her, I realized it's not all about the proofs and final looks but the experience the person behind the camera offers because that will be the determining factor on how LIT your photos come out. Shekeidra is that person!
How do you build and maintain your confidence? : I build and maintain my confidence through prayer and God's Word because I know my confidence is not based on the world's standards but on who He says I am. I have to continuously meditate on His word because there are moments that come when I'm feeling down or I lack.
Describe your personal style? : My personal style has evolved and sometimes it depends on my mood. I'm currently love blacks and whites as base colors but throwing in reds, magentas, orange, neon and other super bold colors is in for me. I don't really wear dresses, you can always catch me in baggy sweats where I'm either rocking air force ones or a pair of heels, paired with a blazer and bodysuit or baggy t-shirt. I LOVE street style!
What are your must have tools to work with? : My laptop! Lol, of course. I also need Google docs and Thesaurus.com. Things that keep me organized and serving better are Dubsado, Trello, and To-doist
What is a misconception for copywriting? : That it is copyRIGHT and it actually has nothing to do with legal stuff unless you're getting the work copyrighted.
Marshalls or TJ Maxx? : TJ Maxx, all the way and even Homegoods!
Who are you when you're not creating? : A full-time boy mom!
Favorite US state/city you've traveled to... what about out of the country? : New York and Paris!
What was your last proud moment? : I realized how far God brought in just a matter of 6 months and how I show up everyday for my son even when I'm really really tired.
What personal mantra do you live by? : ALL is well!
What book are you currently reading? : Such a fun age and Power of a praying wife
Where do you see yourself this time next year?: Honestly, if I even told you what I thought (which I really don't know), I highly doubt it's comparable for what's really in store, so I've just completely let go and I take things day by day.
Do you miss quarantine 2020? : Yes and no
What are three words your mom would use to describe you?: Funny, strong, and sweet...(hard-headed) lol
What keeps you on your toes these days?: Noah!
Any big sister advice on diving into this big boss energy world?: Give yourself grace, you're doing just fine and you're right where you're supposed to be.
