It's session time, you’ve read all about how to prepare for your session. ...Now what the heck should you expect?
Direction will be given
I know in your head, you're like, "I am no Naomi Campbell!" But girllll you are just that and more, just in your own element. NOOOO worries, I will not leave you hanging. Expect plenty of direction. I go with the flow, so while I'm directing, I'm observing what works good for you, poses you are uncomfortable in and when you are just down right feeling it!
POSE, SLAY, SHOOT, REPEAT
There may be a look or pose you slayed but blinked on... trust it happens.. No prob let's do it again. If it was awkward you'll probably be tickled to try it again and BOOM, we capture it again plus a bonus, a lifestyle, fun shot will be thrown in there from you laughing at your awkward self!
NO RULE BOOK TO THIS
From experience, I've found one of two things... either you straight up get it and get it right the first time orrrrrrrrrr you are corny and awkward as heck. Most people are the latter and I LOVE them both. The comfortable one gets in, shuts it down and waves Bye Felecia, while my awkward friend takes just a little nurturing and coaching. In the very end... both yield perfect results.
FIND YOUR GROOVE
Pay attention to the poses they are placing you in. Let them know what poses make you feel the most comfortable .
TRUST YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
You chose your photographer, initially because she was DOPE, duh. Then you sealed the deal because you trusted her. So when it comes to the photoshoot, keep that trust train going. Your photographer may pose or direct you some ways you just can't see, but don't worry..... you are in great hands and you WILL be blown away by the images you two produce.
PREPARE TO DANCE, LAUGH AND BE PHOTOGRAPHED RANDOMLY
Sometimes things don't go as planned, heck life rarely does so your photoshoot probably wont either. Vibes and energy have to be present for all good things to thrive. So I will probably be cracking jokes( nice ones, I promise), spitting free styles and just plain out doing everything naturally to capture the best you! Even when the shoot is over and you are basking and reflecting on how bomb your shoot was... I may capture "in your element" photo too!
RELAX AND HAVE FUN, YOU CAN’T GET A BAD GRADE FOR THIS
This isn't an assignment. This is an experience that will be conveyed to your target audience, your next client. Show them it's ok to awkward but laugh, have fun and just be you! Although the shoot may seem like forever, it's not and will be over as quick as it started and you want to make sure you didn't spend so much time being so critical and hard on yourself that you forgot to breathe and have fun!
EXPECT BOMB.COM PHOTOS, SORRY NOT SORRY
Girlllll I believe in US and know before we even get started we will "Knock it out the park Rick!" Expect a great time, grand images and overall confidence boost. Oh and I may or may not be apologizing for having too many images to choose from.
